[COVER] My Heartstrings Come Undone

Remember when I shot this video? I was intending to do an audio recording with the different parts Ryan Clark and Demon Hunter had done…and now I finally have. It only took the Fourier Transforms of DSP to kill off any good-boy, studious manner I had left for today, and approximately one year to end my silence. Like I’ve stated so many times, this is one of my favourite Demon Hunter songs, and its pretty sweet how Clark wrote this to his wife, and was still able to convey some sort of Christian message. Song and lyrics are after the break, but original version (off Summer of Darkness) can be found on YouTube.

[LIVE] LOAH August 19, 2009

I hadn’t noticed, but I didn’t serve on a LOAH team for the summer of 2008. Anyway, here are the chopped up recordings of the night, presented in 128kbps MP3 format, with full streaming (you might have to wait for it to buffer a bit if your connection isn’t that fast).

The line-up for that night:
Vocalists: Sharon Chu, Renee Cheng, Karmel Wong, Tristan Poon
Keyboard: Dorinda Mui
Guitar: Adwin Lam
Drums: Benson Lam

BIG THANKS TO TIM FOR HIS A/V WORK THAT NIGHT. IT WAS SUPERB, AND I USUALLY CRITICIZE THE CRAP OUT OF MOST A/V-ERS. A++++++++++++++++ DEFINITELY WOULD ASK FOR AGAIN.

Personally, I would have chosen to play more “secular” songs from bands such as Lifehouse, Switchfoot, Three Days Grace, Anberlin and others, instead of the straight up praise and worship repertoire…but nonetheless, I hope the music can be enjoyed. I especially recommend listening to the following tracks in this order, 0-sec delay between them if possible: 6, 7, 9, 10. All rights reserved to original artists, no infringement intended. Check the jump for EVERYTHING!

[COVER] Demon Hunter – My Heartstrings Come Undone

I’ve thought about it, and this is the safe medium I’ll be using for my recording videos…I would have used YouTube or Vimeo, or those other social media sources, but in the end I feel the most comfortable knowing I’m not a “YouTube attention whore” by posting my videos there. What would be the point of me putting them there anyway? just to share with the world and hopefully fill my head up with positive comments from strangers across the world, increasing my pride and destroying the humbleness within me. Of course, people could just say I do a shit job, and that would be that.

Either way, here’s my first video…untouched other than for putting the song title and artist. It’s called “My Heartstrings Come Undone” by metal band Demon Hunter, and was written by lead vocalist Ryan Clark toward his wife. I’ll be doing an audio recording of this sometime with my signature alternate vocals (just like the original) and song elongation. Would you be interested in a video of that too?
