Last Sunday (the 16th), instead of typing my sermon notes I recorded 3 covers. I didn’t immediately upload them, since I wondered how they sounded. The more I listened to them, the more I was displeased with how they sounded. In the end, I only let one cover to survive…and I will be re-doing the other 2. Or maybe I should just abandon those 2 redoes?
Here is POD‘s Going In Blind in my own style…much to your pleasure or displeasure. I’ve been reconsidering why I record…whether it is for my own glory or as part of my “ministry”, as I’ve been discouraged by the lack of feedback and response toward the recordings. However, I’ve also been thinking that if I am really treating this as a form of “ministry”, I shouldn’t mind about feedback (lack of, positivity, negativity) from fellow humans, and should be more concerned about whether the music I’m making (or covering) is pleasing to the one who hears all. And it most likely isn’t even close to His tastes and demands…
Lyrics:
One day… Some day..
This life not like you wanted it.
His eyes I can see again, I need you here.
In your mind nobody’s listening.
It’s alright not to feel again,
Just breathe again…Time after time I walk the fine line,
But something keeps bringing me back.
Time after time I’m going in blind,
I don’t know which way I need to go…Feels like your world is caving in
And I cry, failing to understand,
I wish I can…
It’s alright if you’re missing him,
In his eyes you can live again,
Free within!Time after time I walk the fine line,
But something keeps bringing me back.
Time after time I’m going in blind,
I don’t know which way I need to go!Time after time I walk the fine line,
But something keeps bringing me back.
Time after time I can’t see the signs,
I don’t know which way I need to go!
Do all these roads lead me back to you…
I don’t know which way I need to go.
one day? Some day!Time after time I walk the fine line,
But something keeps bringing me back.
Time after time I’m going in blind,
I don’t know WHICH way I need to go!Time after time I walk the fine line,
But something keeps bringing me back.
Time after time I can’t see the signs
do all these roads lead me back to you,
One day….
